Eke Panuku, on behalf of Auckland Council, has sold the Tavern Lane Car Park to Whare Tupu Ltd to develop new homes in our neighbourhood.
The changes to this part of the neighbourhood means that Tavern lane will be closed permanently from behind the Allan Brewster Leisure Centre through to St George Street.
- Allan Brewster Leisure Centre – Vehicle access open from Cambridge Terrace
- Supermarket – Access open from Wallace Road
- Pedestrian access to the Supermarket and Allan Brewster Leisure Centre is open via Chambers Lane.
These developments are part of the urban regeneration of Old Papatoetoe led by Eke Panuku on behalf of Auckland Council. Our goal is for Old Papatoetoe to be a popular place to live, to shop, for people to meet and enjoy themselves, and provide the services and facilities the community needs.
